ICT

ICT is used and encouraged across the whole curriculum. We have a range of excellent facilities including PC's, laptops and an I-Mac. All are maintained and equipped with up to date software, compatible with general programs used in schools. An hour per week is dedicated to ICT.

Pupils studying ICT at Key Stage 4 or Key Stage 5 will follow schemes of work set by their own schools with the support of our staff.

All our students are offered a training and assessment project designed to work to OCR Functional Skills Level 2. On completion of this along with part activity, students may wish to do an online assessment that leads to OCR accreditation. The exercises include skills such as:-

use of the internet for research.
making and animating presentations.
production of advertising materials.
data handling.

Students use our facilities as any school student would for work purposes.
